pink panic attack...

So, I was reorganizing Zoey's closet after I put all her 0-3 month clothing in bins (big, sad, teary sigh here) when I realized I could no longer organize her hanging clothes by color - as we all do in our own closets - because all her clothes are pink (with the exception of a few adorable purple pieces). I moved to the next mode of organization: cute onesies, onesies with matching pants, dresses, jumpers, etc. It makes sense, right? All of a sudden I thought to myself, "[Sharp intake of breath] What if Zoey does not organize her closet this way when she is older? [Sharper intake of breath] What if she does not like to organize? [Even sharper intake of breath - with some coughing because of the sharpness] What if she doesn't like things color-coded?" That's right, people, the world is worried about the economy and such and I am worried about whether or not my one-week-shy-of-four-month old daughter will like things organized. Judge all you want.

Sorry. I read your post, but I can't concentrate when you put up photos of such an adorable baby. Seriously.

Dalene,
Don't you worry one bit. She will learn it from a pro.

One day you will find yourself the proud Mother of a five year old and over hear her telling her dolls why they must always match.

She will also explain to them why her Polly Pockets have to be put away in just a "perfect" (her words) order in the bin in her closet labeled with the picture of Polly Pockets affixed to the outside.

This bin you will find is stacked neatly with the other bins labeled with pictures of Barbie dolls and My Little Ponies and doll baby clothes.

Yup, don't you worry one little bit... :)

Sadly I've been there already. If my kids aren't organized, clean, or OCD as Phil calls it-it may literally kill me.
Zoey has the sweetest little face!

Um, totally not judging. Totally relating.

I'll help you teach her. It's the best gift we can give her: the gift of organization.

I was distracted with how adorable she is...and my own disorganized mess! Forget the adorable one for now and come help me organize. Can you see I'm looking for any excuse to meet her (and see you too)?

Yikes Dalene, I'd never thought of those things. I'm need to go sit in the fetal and rock for a minute.

I can SO relate to that worry. But... it just does not happen that way... Zoey can be taught.

(There... now you can go back to worrying about the economy)

my mom probably worried about that with me... but now I have a very color coordinated closet, Josh thinks I'm weird because of it.

I want to see Zoey again! She is so cute!

Aw!!! She'll have to remain organized and color coded so she can also remain so adorable and well dressed! Way to go mama!
