Despite my best efforts to plan ahead and be prepared, Sunday mornings are a bit hectic at my house. Getting the girls ready for church on my own is just a tad stressful and makes me a little crazy. This morning was different.
While I was up in my bathroom getting ready, I couldn't help but smile at the laughter and loud squeals raising up from the living room. These two favorites are visiting:
Amid the games of hide 'n' go seek and monster and tickling and the like, shrieks of delight floated upstairs, and they literally brought tears to my eyes. These two favorites have been through so much in the past two years: loss you cannot even imagine. Yet, here they are on a Sunday morning, playing with my girls and loving them fiercely.
We feel so blessed to have them here, and in our lives.

fest o' pumpkins
Our favorite Halloween Party of the year was last weekend, and it was COLD:
Saturday was the Pumpkin Festival in Doylestown, and it did not disappoint:
And, today was Zoey's pumpkin patch field trip:
She was so excited that the farmer actually cut the pumpkin from the vine. She said, "I didn't know that's where pumpkins actually came from!" She actually used the word actually about a dozen times today. Kinda funny.
The farmer brought out this two day old lamb and all the kids got to pet her. After petting her Zoey turned to me and said, "She's so soft! Like me!" It was really sweet.
Zoey's BFF, Zoe P. These two are hysterical together. Her mom and I call them Z-squared. We're so clever that way, you know.

apples and cuteness
Like most people, we love this time of year. Saturday was the perfect example of why: sunny, 70 degrees, cool, and clear. We headed out to a local orchard for fresh apple cider donuts apples, a hayride, and some play time. I sure love this little family of mine.
Happy fall!
