Happy New Year

My New Year's resolution? To post more meaningfully and frequently. Now you can sleep better tonight, having this peace of mind.

Just kidding. I don't have the time to post more meaningfully and frequently. I am lucky if the dishes get done and the house looks somewhat decent. That's just my life right now.

But, I couldn't pass by the opportunity to share a few (dozen) pictures of our past week.

Christmas decorations? Check.
Too much snow? Check.

House clean? Check.
Jen and Rob arrive? Finally!

Table set? Check.

Christmas Eve dinner? Oh-my-delicious.

Stockings? Check.

Santa? Check.

Christmas morning awe? Check.

First pigtails? Check.

Lots of fun? Check.

Dora cellphone? Check.

Cutest little girl? Check.

We are so grateful Jen and Rob came to spend Christmas with us and so happy we were able to spend lots of time together as a family.

Please, don't ask me how I feel about going back to work on Monday.

all good things must come to an end...

She didn't want to go home, either:

Some thoughts on vacation:
  1. Just because you are wearing a sexy little bathing suit, does not mean you are sexy and/or little.
  2. Visiting family is not a vacation (no matter how much you love them and they love you).
  3. Sunscreen - lots and lots of sunscreen.
  4. Don't feel guilty about eating lots of yummy things - unless, of course, you think sand is yummy, which may result in some discomfort later.
  5. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Thank you, Brian, for the best trip ever.

even more outer banks...

Today we got up-close and personal with these beauties:

The smaller dolphin is a tiny baby born just this year.

We're doing a lot of lounging
