Christmas in Utah

We were very happy to spend our Christmas with the Olsons in Utah this year. We missed Heather's family, but loved our time with all the other siblings and cousins. I especially enjoyed reconnecting with my amazing sisters-in-law (really, they are too talented to be my friend, but they pretend well when we're together) and my girls especially enjoyed having playmates from sun up (or a tad before) to sun down (or a tad after).

Remember this? Zoey packed the gift and hid it in the tree in Utah. She was more excited for me to open that gift than for pretty much anything else. She sat with me while I opened the gold and purple amethyst ring she had picked out for me. Why a ring? "Because I know how much you love your wedding ring - and this looks just like your wedding ring," she explained. Why purple? "Because I know your favorite color is purple." Sweetness. The ring does not quite fit my finger, but we agreed to put it on a necklace so I could wear it around my neck.

A very merry Christmas, indeed.

So much fun! Even though you can't crochet or make your own bread (yet) doesn't mean you aren't talented!
