history in the making

Never in the history of the world has this happened:

But it happened today!

TV on, toy in hand, food in mouth - fast asleep.  This transitioning to NO NAP is slow and painful torture - for ME!

Love it! Ian gave up naps without any problem and Nathan took about a month to get used to it. Both required earlier bedtimes in the long run. (My crazy boys go to bed between 6:30-7pm) I just love it when friends post pics of their kids falling asleep in crazy places as I have NEVER been graced with such an experience.

LOL.. So cute!
Sorry it's such a painful transition!
She looks so grown up- she's out grown her chair!
It will get better!
Love her!

Oh how very sweet and cute! I'm still forcing A to take naps almost every day still, she is a bear and crashed by 5pm if i don't then she won't go to bed at bedtime. It's a hard transition for sure! I'm such a meanie though i even make the 6 and 8 year olds have "quiet time" :) LOL

I have never had that happen either. My boys don't fall alseep out of their beds. It's kind of cute, though-

I dread the no nap transition period! We gave up naps months ago because bedtime was taking 2+ hours! I was just wondering why I never get anything done anymore and it dawned on me- I have NO "free" time anymore! Quiet time was officially started today!
My kids don't fall asleep out of their beds either. We love watching kids falling asleep on AFV.

Those days are PAINFUL. I couldn't stand going anywhere after 3... cause I would be yelling the who time... stay awake, don't sleep.

Ugg.
