A few evenings ago Brian brought me this to complete:

My initial thought was, "I am so tired and I just want to sit here and watch television. I do not want to complete a crossword puzzle."
Here is the completed puzzle:

All the clues have to do with North Carolina, where Brian is taking me on a surprise(!) trip to celebrate my upcoming 30th birthday. Best part? He's been planning this for months, I didn't have a clue, and I didn't have to make any decisions about the trip. Other best part? He remembered me telling him years ago that I would like to go to Outer Banks "someday" and, now, he is making that happen. BEST. HUSBAND. EVER.

What a sweet husband! Looks like he put a lot of thought into making this trip special for you. Hope you have a blast.
So thoughtful! Happy birthday and enjoy your trip.
Awesome!!! Flying or driving? You know who lives just north of there, right? Ahem.
Take lots of pictures and be sure to share them with the rest of us.
He is SO great! We are glad he married you!!!♥ Hope you have a FABULOUS time!
BTW - your crossword puzzle is VERY neat and organized... like you.
that is so sweet! And what a fun way to tell you! I love it!
What a sweet, sweet hubby. And so creative, too!! Have a great trip.
That's awesome. Happy upcoming birthday and have a wonderful time!
Just in case you check comments from the beach here are some restaurant recommends:
TORTUGA'S LIE: Milepost 11.5 on the beachroad. Their cocoloco chicken with curry lime dressing is to die for.
SAM & OMIES: Milepost 16.5 on the beachroad. Great food especially their "she crab soup". A very casual/local atmosphere.
Also, if you want to extend your outlet shopping, go over the bridge to the shops in the town of Manteo. You will love it.
Way to go Brian, make the rest of us look bad.
