not feeling so grateful...

Zoey has not slept in two nights and I am wiped. We're staying with the kids of some good friends and I am afraid they are not getting much sleep either. Last night we were trying to watch American Idol when one of the girls said:

Bethany: Why is Zoey crying so much?
Me: Well, I think she is teething.
10 minutes later...
Bethany: She's still crying. How long will she be teething?
Me: About 3 years, I think.
Bethany [wide-eyed with concern (for herself or Zoey, I don't know)]: That's a long time to cry.

Yes, Bethany, 3 years is a long time to cry. A very long time, indeed.

Don't worry, it won't last 3 years! In a few months teething won't even bother her anymore! Hope you get some sleep soon.

Oh man three years. I say just get her some false teeth and maybe her body will stop producing teeth.

I'd say I'm full of goof ideas...others might say I'm full of other stuff.

You decide but most of all HANG IN THERE!

I don't do well without sleep! or food! or when I'm cold! or come to think of it--when I'm hot!
But being sleep deprived is the worst! My heart goes out to you...

Hopefully, the tooth will get busy gettin' in there!

P.S.--The "Sunnyvale incident" involved a missionary that I went to visit after he got home from his mission! I'll fill you in later...ugh! it was awful!
Sunnyvale itself was lovely!
